The client is looking for a Business Analyst to work on a team of IT project professionals to review, assess, and remediate issues across a number of initiatives across the IT portfolio.
The client is seeking proposals to provide key staff augmentation resources for immediate surge support for completion of the following initiatives, including but not limited to Better Bus Network Redesign, Trapeze to HASTUS Migration, Fleet Technology Optimization: Bus Technology Optimization, Railcar-to-everything communication, Access Services Technology Optimization, Tap-n-Go, and Exadata migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Duties:
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
• Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard (including legacy, core, and emerging technologies), business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
• Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Prepares and documents Functional and Technical Specifications for reporting and data warehouse work. Assists with business warehouse/intelligence support and enhancements. Develops RFPs. Assists in deployment and management of end-user reporting tools and platforms. Works with IT and business project teams to understand reporting and data warehousing requirements and propose solutions.
• Documents and provides knowledge transfer to the rest of the Enterprise Reporting Team for all solutions.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• 5+ years of experience in project management is essential with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering mobile application projects on time and within budget.
• 5+ years of experience managing remote development teams is crucial.

• Bachelor's degree in management, information systems, or a related field – preferred but not required.
