Business Analyst

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Business Analyst, you transform data into meaningful analysis and insights that help drive better business decisions throughout the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will analyze sales, customer, operational, and financial data to identify trends, develop reporting tools, and provide analysis and insights that support informed decision-making. You will utilize AI and agents to drive forward business analysis and insights. Success in this role requires the ability to move comfortably between detailed analysis and high-level summaries, presenting information clearly and concisely for different audiences across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

While the successful candidate is expected to bring strong analytical ability, business curiosity, and foundational technical skills, they are not expected to have mastered every responsibility on day one. The role is designed to broaden and accelerate those capabilities through direct coaching and mentorship.

• Use AI tools and automation to reduce repetitive manual work, accelerate analysis, improve reporting efficiency, and allow teams to focus more time on high-value insight and decision-making.

• Stay current on emerging analytical technologies, AI tools, business intelligence platforms, and data visualization best practices.

• Analyze sales performance across customers, products, channels, brands, regions, and categories.

• Develop and maintain intuitive, dynamic, easy-to-use dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and reporting tools that help teams quickly understand sales drivers, performance trends, and opportunities.

• Move beyond reporting results to develop story-driven insights that identify business trends, growth opportunities, risks, and performance drivers before they fully surface.

• Support the development of customer strategies through data-driven analysis and recommendations.

• Evaluate profitability and trade investment performance across customers, products, channels, promotional initiatives, and business segments, recommending strategies to maximize ROI.

• Build forecasting models and assist with sales planning and demand analysis.

• Build knowledge of Amazon reporting, analytics, and performance measurement to support internal analysis and decision-making.

• Analyze operational data to identify efficiencies, risks, and performance trends.

• Prepare clear summaries, presentations, and recommendations for leadership review, supported by quantitative analysis.

• Continuously look for ways to automate and improve business reporting processes, reducing manual reporting wherever possible.

• Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and overall business intelligence capabilities throughout the organization.

• Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as directed. 

EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.

• Comfort utilizing AI as a core part of everyday work and motivation to continuously improve productivity through technology.

• Exceptional recent graduates may demonstrate analytical capabilities through consulting clubs, case competitions, internships, research projects, or other meaningful analytical experience.

• Ability to analyze data, clarify business questions, and suggest practical next steps.

• Intellectual curiosity a must!

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, formulas, data modeling, and analysis.

• Experience with or strong interest in Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools, including dashboard development, data visualization, KPI tracking, and translating data into actionable insights.

• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear observations and recommendations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

• Self-starter who takes ownership, follows through, and manages multiple priorities effectively.
