Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a fast-moving product team delivering a new, highly visible financial services program. This is a multi-phase program currently in Phase 1, with additional phases planned after the initial go-live. Working within an Agile pod alongside the Product Owner, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate complex business needs into clear requirements and remain engaged from discovery through implementation and validation.
Job Responsibilities
Lead requirements elicitation through stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and working groups, clarifying business needs, rules, assumptions, and success criteria.
Analyze current-state and future-state processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and document clear process flows and business rules.
Translate business needs into detailed requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, data definitions, and functional specifications that clearly define what must be built.
Manage the requirements lifecycle by maintaining traceability, assessing the impact of changes, resolving ambiguities, and keeping approved artifacts current.
Partner with product, engineering, quality assurance, operations, legal, and external stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure shared understanding before and during implementation.
Support solution validation and UAT by defining test scenarios, reviewing results, triaging defects, and confirming that delivered functionality meets agreed business outcomes.
Identify requirement gaps, inconsistencies, and implementation risks early, and drive them to resolution to minimize rework.
Required Skills/Experience
5 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related requirements, product delivery, or process analysis role within financial services.
Demonstrated experience leading requirements elicitation, current-state and future-state analysis, process modeling, gap analysis, and requirements validation.
Experience managing requirements through delivery, including traceability, change-impact assessment, test scenario development, UAT support, defect triage, and validation of delivered outcomes.
Technical fluency and curiosity, with the ability to understand system interactions, data flows, integrations, and constraints and collaborate effectively with engineers.
Clear, concise written communication and strong requirements discipline across decisions, assumptions, approved artifacts, and traceability.
An analytical, delivery-focused, and collaborative approach that turns ambiguity into practical solutions and raises issues early.
