Overview:

Grant Thornton is looking to bring on a Business Process and Finance Transformation Consultant to support some of their client advisory initiatives.

Experience:

Business Process Assessment: Evaluating client financial workflows (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report) to identify operational bottlenecks, manual workarounds, and compliance risks.

Solution Design: Redesigning "future-state" operating models, establishing standard operating procedures, and designing automated workflow architectures.

Technology-Enabled Solutions: Leading or advising on the deployment of enterprise platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Workday Financials, Oracle Cloud) to automate accounting tasks and real-time reporting.

Change Management & Execution: Guiding finance teams through organizational restructuring, skill realignment, and technology adoption.

Nice to Have:

Experience with technology consultancies driving ERP implementations (Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infosys) or at Big Four or mid-tier consulting firms (PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG, Protiviti, FTI Consulting, Baker Tilly, etc.).

Responsibilities:

Business Process Assessment & Solution Design

Provide subject matter expertise across Finance Transformation and Management Consulting engagements by developing and delivering operational and technology-enabled solutions.

Conduct business process and operational assessments, including documenting current-state processes, interviewing client stakeholders, and evaluating existing operations.

Perform business analysis to document requirements, identify operational challenges, and assess risks impacting client performance.

Research industry best practices, benchmark key performance indicators (KPIs), and evaluate market trends to identify improvement opportunities.

Develop future-state process designs and recommend operational improvements based on business requirements and leading practices.

Participate in internal control assessments, process reviews, and system implementations, including functional design, testing, and validation.

Support operational strategy, requirements gathering, functional design, and technology implementation activities.

Partner with project leadership and client stakeholders to implement practical solutions that improve operational efficiency and business performance.

Project Delivery

Lead small project workstreams and manage assigned activities to ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet quality expectations.

Develop high-quality client deliverables, including process documentation, assessments, presentations, recommendations, and implementation plans.

Facilitate client meetings, workshops, and working sessions to gather requirements, validate solutions, and communicate project progress.

Monitor workstream activities, identify project risks, and escalate issues as appropriate.

Mentor junior consultants through guidance, coaching, and quality review of work products.

Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, including senior management, by providing responsive, high-quality consulting services.

Communicate effectively with client teams, provide regular updates, facilitate discussions, and maintain alignment on project objectives.

Collaborate with project leadership to identify opportunities to improve client operations and engagement success.

Support a positive client experience through professionalism, responsiveness, and delivery excellence.

Practice Development

Support continuous improvement of the Finance Transformation practice by developing reusable methodologies, templates, tools, and knowledge assets.

Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, ERP capabilities, and Finance Transformation best practices to support innovation across client engagements.
