Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a front office focused Business Analyst to join their team in El Segundo, CA!

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary front-office support resource for Trade Order Management systems and related workflows.
  • Support daily inquiries from Portfolio Managers, Traders, and business stakeholders across trade lifecycle processes including order creation, allocation, execution, and post-trade validation.
  • Maintain and grow deep product knowledge in thinkFolio and associated front-office systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis for system issues and coordinate resolution with internal Technology teams and external vendors.
  • Monitor system performance, data accuracy, and operational stability to ensure uninterrupted trading operations.
  • Document production issues, tracking resolutions and recommending preventative improvements.
  • Lead small-to-mid sized enhancement initiatives across front-office systems and workflows.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and user stories.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define scope, priorities, and delivery timelines.
  • Drive project execution through planning, coordination, and communication across cross-functional teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring delivered solutions align with business needs and technical standards.
  • Facilitate UAT, validation, and production rollout processes.
  • Lead business meetings and working sessions, ensuring clear alignment and outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline; advanced degree a plus.
  • 2-4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project/Product Manager and/or 1+ years of experience within asset management, investment management, or financial services environments.
  • Experience working with non-technical business stakeholders to gather requirements and create user stories.
  • Experience utilizing SQL, Python, Excel, or VBA for data analysis, reporting building, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a dual-capacity role combining Business Analysis and Project Management responsibilities.

Pluses:
  • Experience supporting trade lifecycle workflows across pre-trade, execution, allocation, and post-trade activities.
  • Proven experience supporting front-office functions including Portfolio Managers, Traders, or Investment Operations teams.
  • Hands-on experience working with Trade Order Management Systems such as Charles River, Aladdin, Everest, thinkFolio, or comparable OMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of investment products such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, or structured products.
  • Experience working in firms supporting active portfolio management strategies.
  • Familiarity with data integration between OMS, PMS, and downstream operational systems.
  • Experience in Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting structured finance or complex investment products.
  • Direct exposure to front-office trading or portfolio management workflows.
  • Prior experience in environments with high-volume trade execution.

Pay Rate: $320 - $440/Day
