Job title: Research Analyst
Location: New York, NY 10003
Pay rate: $31.00 - $33.00/hour
Work schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week (Hybrid - flexible dependent on business needs; OT not likely)
Overview:
The Research Analyst works closely with brand insights teams across multiple networks (Discovery, T-Nets, ADSM & CN, AEW, TRVL, APL, and SCI) to provide data-driven intelligence and consumer insights. This role leverages media research resources across linear and non-linear platforms to support content strategy, marketing initiatives, competitive analysis, and executive reporting.
Job Specifications:
- Assist in the production of daily, weekly, and monthly media reporting needs.
- Provide research support, recommendations, and insights for Senior Executives and cross-functional business groups.
- Deliver expertise on competitive trends and the changing television landscape through ad-hoc reporting on competitive viewing.
- Effectively communicate data, findings, and ratings translations in strategy sessions, meetings, presentations, and emails.
- Develop creative approaches to uncover consumer insights, marketplace trends, and audience engagement to inform strategy.
- Experience & Skills: 1 to 1.5+ years of experience in media research, market research, or consumer insights; 1+ years of hands-on Nielsen experience for media (specifically Npower); solid understanding of television metrics and audience engagement; proficiency with Nielsen data systems (Npower, Star Media, Nielsen Content Link/Lake5) and TV/streaming metrics; experience with survey design, programming, and analysis; ComScore and community/panel management experience (e.g., Alida) preferred.
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) required.
