Remote: Must live within 2 hours of Harrisburg, PA

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support an established Agile software development team by serving as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical resources. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, coordinating testing efforts, supporting production issues, and ensuring software solutions meet business and user needs throughout the development lifecycle.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, end users, and development teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed business, functional, user, and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Create and manage user stories, tasks, defects, and work items using Azure DevOps or a similar Agile work management platform.
  • Participate as an active member of a Scrum or Agile development team, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct full system testing to validate functionality and verify that business requirements have been met.
  • Support automated testing initiatives and collaborate with testing teams utilizing tools such as Selenium.
  • Assist with production support by investigating, documenting, and helping resolve customer-reported software issues.
  • Participate in facilitated requirements workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  • Document software accessibility requirements and support testing efforts related to accessibility compliance.
  • Assist in developing user guides, training materials, and end-user documentation as needed.
  • Communicate project status, requirements, issues, and testing results clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure documentation is organized, accurate, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience gathering business requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting software applications in a production environment and resolving customer-reported issues.
  • 2+ years of experience developing Business Requirements documentation.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting full system testing and validating application functionality.
  • Prior Commonwealth experience is highly desired.
  • Experience working on a Scrum Team or within an Agile development environment is highly desired.
