Business Analyst
Location: Hopkins, MN
Duration: 9-Month Contract


Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support infrastructure-focused security initiatives within a complex enterprise technology environment. This role partners with infrastructure, security, engineering, operations, and program teams to analyze current processes, identify gaps, and drive process improvements that strengthen governance, operational efficiency, and execution.
The ideal candidate has experience working in enterprise IT infrastructure environments and understands how security initiatives impact operational teams. This individual should be comfortable collaborating across server, network, storage, cloud, platform, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document current-state business processes related to infrastructure and security initiatives.
  • Identify process gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop future-state process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), governance models, and workflow documentation.
  • Support initiatives involving vulnerability remediation, patch governance, exception management, control validation, issue tracking, and operational readiness.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Create process maps, RACI matrices, decision logs, meeting notes, and executive-ready documentation.
  • Track action items, milestones, risks, dependencies, and project status across multiple workstreams.
  • Provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership.
  • Support implementation and adoption of new or improved operational processes.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst, Process Analyst, Program Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience working with enterprise infrastructure teams, including server, network, storage, cloud, platform, or IT operations.
  • Experience supporting security, compliance, governance, risk, or remediation initiatives.
  • Strong background in process mapping, workflow analysis, process improvement, and requirements gathering.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience creating process documentation, governance artifacts, and workflow diagrams.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, patch lifecycle processes, CMDB, asset ownership, remediation planning, and operational governance.
  • Experience supporting technology transformation or governance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
