Position Specific Description


This position provides analytical support to the Rates & Load Forecasting team through the preparation of load forecasts, rate analyses, and supporting documentation for regulatory and planning activities.


The analyst applies statistical methods and economic principles to forecast customer demand and evaluate rate structures. The role involves close collaboration with senior analysts and managers to deliver accurate, well-documented analyses used in rate filings and internal decision-making.


Job Duties & Responsibilities


+ Prepare and maintain load and revenue forecasts using approved statistical and econometric models.

+ Perform rate design and cost-of-service calculations supporting tariff and pricing development.

+ Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings, schedules, and discovery responses.

+ Analyze historical and projected data to identify trends and drivers affecting sales, revenue, and customer behavior.

+ Support data validation and documentation processes to ensure transparency and audit readiness.

+ Develop and maintain forecasting and rate design tools in Excel, Python, R, or SQL.

+ Perform ad-hoc analyses as requested to support management or regulatory requirements.

+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Requirements


+ Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related quantitative field.

+ 1–2 years of experience in forecasting, rate design, or quantitative analytics.

+ Working knowledge of statistical and economic modeling techniques.

+ Proficiency in Excel and SQL; exposure to Python or R preferred.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate analytical work under deadlines.

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications


+ Experience in a regulated utility or energy-sector analytics environment.

+ Familiarity with cost-of-service methodologies and rate structures.

+ Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.

+ Understanding of data governance and validation principles.
