The Business Analyst supports the design and implementation of a structured fraud logging capability within ServiceNow. This role focuses on requirements analysis, process design, screen mockups, workflow documentation, and historical data migration planning rather than hands-on platform configuration. The position works closely with business subject matter experts, the ServiceNow platform team, data owners, and information security and privacy stakeholders to translate fraud and operational risk requirements into clear, build-ready specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate working sessions and interviews with business subject matter experts to document current-state fraud intake and logging processes, including roles, handoffs, and data requirements.
Translate business requirements into prioritized user stories and acceptance criteria for platform development.
Define the fraud record data model, including required and optional fields, categories, statuses, severity and priority logic, validation rules, and reporting requirements.
Conduct industry benchmarking to identify fraud logging practices, field structures, screen layouts, categorization approaches, and workflow patterns.
Develop screen mockups and wireframes for the target-state fraud logging interface and refine designs based on stakeholder feedback.
Annotate mockups with field definitions, required and conditional logic, behaviors, and validation rules to support platform development.
Map and document the target-state fraud logging workflow, including intake, triage, assignment, review, and closure.
Develop process maps and supporting documentation that align workflow requirements with screen designs.
Create user-facing job aids and workflow guides for fraud loggers and reviewers.
Inventory and profile historical fraud data from SharePoint, including lists, libraries, spreadsheets, and documents.
Develop source-to-target field mappings between SharePoint data and the target ServiceNow fraud data model.
Define data cleansing, standardization, de-duplication, reconciliation, and validation requirements for historical data migration.
Coordinate the migration approach with the ServiceNow platform team and maintain documentation of mapping and audit requirements.
Maintain version-controlled requirements, mockups, data mappings, process documentation, and project decisions.
Track risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies and escalate as appropriate.
Coordinate across operational risk and resilience, the ServiceNow platform team, data owners, and information security and privacy stakeholders.
Support user acceptance testing by developing test cases and assisting with test execution and defect resolution.
Produce requirements, workflow documentation, screen designs, data models, migration mappings, training materials, and UAT documentation to support successful platform delivery.
