Pay Rate: $40.00 to $50.00 per hr.

Seeking a Business Analyst II/QA to support a fully remote team. This is a Business Analyst/QA hybrid role requiring strong business analysis skills along with hands-on testing experience.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in Jira and qTest, gathering and documenting requirements, creating and executing test cases, managing defects, and working directly with business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Create and manage user stories in Jira.
• Support backlog management and defect tracking.
• Create, document, and execute test cases using qTest.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, including two-week sprints and daily standups.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders, development teams, and other technical resources.
• Analyze application issues and assist with identifying and implementing solutions.
• Support testing and QA activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Manage multiple activities and priorities across different business groups.
• Maintain organized documentation, testing activities, and project deliverables.

Required Skills

• 3 5+ years of application/software testing experience.
• Professional Business Analyst experience with requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and stakeholder communication.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, including:
  • User story creation
  • Backlog management
  • Defect tracking
• Hands-on experience with qTest, including creating and documenting test cases.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working in two-week sprint cycles and daily standups.
• Hands-on testing/QA experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and business groups.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated UI testing, particularly Playwright or similar testing tools.
• Basic SQL experience, including simple SELECT queries used to validate application data against database results.
• Vulnerability management experience.
