Job Title: Business Analyst III
Location: Austin, Texas (Onsite)


Job Description
Client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst III to support application and software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, Agile methodologies, quality assurance, user story creation, and licensing systems within agencies.

Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and system needs.
Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
Perform QA activities, including manual testing and validation of functional/non-functional requirements.
Analyze policies and procedures to assess impacts on automated systems.
Support Agile teams by participating in sprint planning, refinement sessions, standups, and other Agile ceremonies.
Develop and review project documentation including charters, project plans, test plans, and risk assessments.
Troubleshoot application issues and recommend system improvements.
Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements.
Create training materials and conduct training sessions for internal and external users.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to support project delivery and service requests.
Manage change requests, deployment activities, and project scope validation.
Maintain vendor relationships and review technology-related invoices.

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience providing QA consultation and oversight for complex IT projects.
3+ years of experience with:
Agile methodologies and Agile ceremonies
User story creation and refinement
Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools
Senior-level business analysis
System analysis and troubleshooting
Business process automation initiatives
Vendor coordination and project support
Reviewing project deliverables, test plans, and risk assessments
Developing test cases and conducting training sessions
Strong experience working with licensing systems and license lifecycle management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
