Job Description:

Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst with an enterprise automotive client. This role will support enterprise privacy and compliance initiatives, partnering with business and technology teams to ensure data practices, systems, and processes align with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. The ideal candidate will drive requirements gathering, process improvement, solution design, and stakeholder engagement across complex cross-functional projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with project managers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define business objectives, project scope, and strategic outcomes.
  • Lead requirements gathering efforts through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process reviews, and discovery sessions.
  • Analyze complex business processes and systems to identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and other business analysis deliverables.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, product teams, legal, compliance, and security teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
  • Facilitate meetings, presentations, and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders to drive consensus and project alignment.
  • Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle, from design and development through testing and implementation.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and validation to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support enterprise privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance initiatives by incorporating privacy-by-design principles into business processes and solutions.
  • Create and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), workflow diagrams, process maps, and other project documentation.
  • Validate delivered solutions against business objectives, regulatory standards, and internal governance requirements.
  • Support audit readiness activities and collaborate with stakeholders to address compliance and regulatory requirements.

Qualified Candidates Will Have the Following Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, or related roles
  • Proven experience leading requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, and documentation efforts for complex enterprise initiatives
  • Strong experience creating BRDs, process flows, workflow diagrams, use cases, and functional requirements documentation
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project teams throughout the SDLC
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies
  • Experience supporting UAT planning, execution, requirements traceability, and solution validation
  • Knowledge of data privacy, data governance, information security, regulatory compliance, or risk management frameworks
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, OneTrust, or similar tools is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, or a related IT function
  • Demonstrated experience leading requirements elicitation and documentation efforts for large-scale, cross-functional projects
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid environments
  • Experience working with data privacy, data governance, compliance, information security, or risk management initiatives
  • Proficiency with business analysis and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with privacy management platforms such as OneTrust or similar solutions is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Experience supporting automotive, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries is preferred
  • Self-motivated professional with strong organizational skills, business acumen, and a collaborative approach to solving complex problems

Location: South Bay, CA

Onsite expectation: Onsite 4 days per week

Pay range: $40-60/hour
