POSITION OVERVIEW
- The successful candidate will serve as the WMS systems SME and assist the Project Manager and/or Team Manager with various IT Parts Applications tasks and activities.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Parts Center WMS end users and stakeholders.
- Assigned work will range from production support to system enhancements and large projects.
- Analyze and document business requirements and manage work items from start to finish.
- Gather requirements, perform detailed analysis and functional design, create and execute test plans (unit, integration, system, and user acceptance), coordinate implementation, and provide documentation and warranty support.
- Define architectural solutions to meet application requirements.
- Provide status updates to the Project Manager/Lead, as needed.
- Analysis/design: approximately 30–40%; development (coding, unit testing, integration testing, system testing, UAT, implementation, and warranty support): approximately 30–40%; architectural solutioning: approximately 20–40%.
- Administer the Aldon Change Management tool.
- Ensure WMS processes and systems adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
- Coordinate technical support for communication protocols in the AS400 system (e.g., handheld scanners, voice systems, and Zebra printers).
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The candidate will serve as the Parts Center WMS SME for production support, enhancements, and projects.
WHAT’S NEEDED
- Functional expertise in WMS PkMS v2003.
- Technical expertise in AS400 technologies, including RPG IV programming, CLI programming, and AS400 file/database configuration (min. 8+ years of experience).
- Ability to understand AS400 journals.
- Experience with Aldon, DBU, and/or Python.
- Good understanding of MQ and FTP integrations.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operational functions related to retail ordering and order fulfillment, preferably in the automotive service parts business.
- Experience in supply chain processes, including inventory management, order processing, and distribution center operations, is desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- A basic understanding of TMS (Transportation Management System), YMS (Yard Management System), and Labor Management functions would be an added advantage.
- Advanced ability to create well-written business requirements.
- Advanced ability to create well-written functional design and technical documentation.
- Advanced ability to create well-written and effective test plans and test scripts.
