HEPCO Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst (Level 1) to support key technology initiatives for a major public utility organization. This role will focus on requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement across multiple IT projects.

(Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months (Option to extend up to 3 years)
Hourly Rate: $40 – $50/hr. (Depending on experience and qualifications)
Position Overview
The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting system implementations—including Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) initiatives—ensuring successful delivery and operational readiness in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements sessions with stakeholders
Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
Develop business rules, workflows, and detailed documentation artifacts
Process Mapping & Analysis
Document current and future state business processes
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
Align business processes with project and system requirements
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with business users, SMEs, IT teams, and vendors
Lead meetings and workshops to support analysis and decision-making
Ensure clear communication across all project stakeholders
Training & User Readiness
Identify training needs related to new systems and processes
Support development of user guides, job aids, and training materials
Assist in training coordination and user readiness activities
Testing & Implementation Support
Assist with development of test scenarios and validation processes
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts
Document issues and support implementation readiness activities
Deliverables May Include
Business and functional requirements documentation
Current and future state process maps
Gap analysis and recommendations
Meeting notes, action logs, and workshop outputs
Training materials and user guides
Test scenarios and validation documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of Business Analyst experience on IT and business projects
Strong experience in requirements gathering and process mapping
Experience supporting system implementation projects
Excellent documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience supporting training and user readiness initiatives
Experience with document management, records management, or EDRMS is a plus
