Job Summary:
The Delivery Management and Migration Technology Organization is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst who, under general supervision, will elicit, analyze, validate, and document detailed business, organizational, operational, and/or system requirements. In this opportunity, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of business partners and stakeholders and communicating effectively to solve moderately complex problems, including analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translating them into proper business and/or system requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and define business and/or systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable industry requirements
Facilitate and document business system requirements
Provide analysis of business and user needs and translate into proper business and/or system requirements
Work at the highest technical level of most phases of business and/or systems analysis while considering business implications of technology
Understand business and technology needs and formulate technical requirements for development team
Identify and assist with problem resolution working with systems analysts and business analysts
Participate in meetings with vendors on new functionality
Consult with business partners and IT teams to resolve production issues
Analyze and document changes required for integration interfaces to support data migration from legacy to strategic platforms
Identify reuse opportunities and define new integration points
Understand technical dependencies and envision creative solutions to business and technical challenges
Negotiate and influence business system requirements direction
Lead or consult on escalated support issues and root cause analysis
Assist team members with understanding business system requirements
Participate in all phases of project planning, development, and testing
Demonstrate accountability, agility, inclusivity, strong business acumen, and courage in challenging situations
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience with Master Policy Record Administrative Platform
5+ years of experience in a business systems analysis role
Experience with Microsoft suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to facilitate requirements sessions with a diverse group of stakeholders
Experience soliciting and drafting business requirements and performing requirements management planning for large-scale projects
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Ability to own and drive business analysis across multiple parallel initiatives
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Highly organized and collaborative
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience working with Product, Distribution, and Policy Administration Systems and operational support teams
Ability to provide project support to help set direction based on customer/agent experience and system capabilities
Ability to consult internally on future capabilities and initiatives
Ability to represent as a leader in both business and technology capacities
Testing skills
Experience supporting platform migrations, including legacy system decommissioning, data mapping, and interface redesign
