Our client is seeking a Business Analyst - Multifamily Systems & Traceability Analyst with deep multifamily lending expertise to establish requirement-level traceability between Credit Policy and system functionality. This role requires analyzing complex underwriting processes, business rules, decision logic, and system controls to identify gaps and ensure policy compliance across the platform.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Establish and document requirement-level traceability between Multifamily Credit Policy and system functionality, including business rules, decision logic, UI validations, workflow controls, and field-level restrictions
Analyze automated underwriting, eligibility determinations, funding and delivery controls, and Credit Policy Exception processing to determine implementation status
Review technical and business artifacts across Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, system documentation, and business requirements to assess policy alignment
Collaborate with application SMEs, developers, architects, product owners, underwriting SMEs, and business stakeholders to evaluate traceability and identify inconsistencies
Identify gaps between intended policy requirements and actual system implementation, including areas relying on manual versus system-enforced controls
Document evidence supporting traceability determinations and create comprehensive analysis reports
Support assessment of opportunities for improved traceability, governance, and future automation
Participate in peer review and QA activities
Requirements
5–8 years of business analysis, systems analysis, and multifamily lending experience
Strong knowledge of underwriting processes, underwriting standards, and credit policy frameworks
Proficiency in business requirements analysis, systems requirements analysis, and application business rules analysis
Expertise in decision logic analysis, workflow analysis, validations analysis, integrations analysis, and system controls analysis
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket for documentation and artifact management
Technical familiarity with Java, AMQ/JMS, and message-driven architecture concepts
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
