Job Summary We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and business requirements analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience working across Policy, Claims, and Underwriting systems, with the ability to gather requirements, document business processes, perform data analysis, support data mapping activities, and collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver successful insurance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities - Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Process Flows, and Functional Specifications.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, Product Owners, QA, Data Engineering, and Technology teams.
- Analyze current-state business processes and identify gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Perform SQL-based data analysis and support source-to-target mapping activities.
- Create and maintain interface specifications, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and mapping documents.
- Support insurance modernization, migration, analytics, and technology transformation initiatives.
- Participate in SIT, UAT, defect triage, release validation, and post-production support activities.
- Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, retrospectives, and requirement refinement sessions.
- Assist project teams throughout discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and hypercare phases.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Data Analyst.
- 2 3 years of hands-on P&C Insurance experience across Policy, Claims, and Underwriting systems.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
- Expertise in BRD, FRD, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Functional Documentation.
- Strong SQL and Data Analysis experience.
- Experience with Source-to-Target Mapping and Interface Mapping.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Billing, Rating, Producer, or Distribution systems.
- Experience supporting Data Migration, Modernization, or Analytics initiatives.
- Experience in distributed or dual-shore delivery models.
- Client-facing consulting or business stakeholder engagement experience.
