Business Analyst – Regulatory & Compliance

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in regulatory and compliance initiatives within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) or Global Markets. This role will partner with business, operations, legal, compliance, and technology teams to assess regulatory changes, analyze business impacts, gather requirements, and support enterprise regulatory initiatives.
This is a true Business Analyst position, not a Project Manager role. The ideal candidate is business and operations-focused, possesses strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, and has hands-on experience supporting regulatory programs within investment banking or capital markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze regulatory requirements and assess business impacts across Corporate & Investment Banking operations.
- Gather, document, and validate detailed business and functional requirements.
- Partner with Compliance, Operations, Legal, Technology, Risk, and Business stakeholders.
- Interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable business solutions.
- Support regulatory reporting, business analysis, and data analysis initiatives.
- Identify business risks, process gaps, and operational dependencies.
- Produce business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure deliverables meet established timelines and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with frontline banking and Global Markets teams to support regulatory initiatives.
- Facilitate meetings, stakeholder discussions, and requirement walkthroughs.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
- Experience supporting regulatory or compliance initiatives within financial services.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, Corporate & Investment Banking, or Global Markets.
- Experience performing regulatory impact assessments and business analysis.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), Global Markets, or Capital Markets.
- Experience with enterprise regulatory programs.
- Knowledge of U.S. or global financial regulations.
- Operations-focused Business Analysis experience.
- Experience working with front-office business teams.
