One of our direct client is urgently looking for a Business Analyst @ Reston VATITLE: Business AnalystLOCATION: reston, VADuration: 6 to 12+ months Rate: DOEDescription:Technology Strategy Business Analyst- SW License Assessments Client Note: Open to remote resource at any core location- VA, NY, TX, AK, CA, WA, NJ This resource will support the Global Tech Strategy efforts assessing software licenses and maintenance spend to identify opportunities for reductions. This work is done in partnership with product managers, procurement, finance and tech leaders. Specifically this resource will identify, pursue, track, and execute software license and maintenance savings activities by: 1) Proactively identify potential savings opportunities from a variety of sources through analysis and research 2) Partner with product, tech managers, procurement, and finance to align on savings options 3) Manage/Lead through the realization of those savings 4) Track and report out weekly progress 5) Define pipeline process for work execution Desired Qualifications for this role include:- Strong analytical skills: MS Excel® skills, incl. functions (logical, lookup and reference, math and trigonometry, etc.) & pivot tables; Excel Macros, SQL, and Python skills preferred- Experience performing quantitative and qualitative research and communicating results to leadership- Excellent personal task management skills and ability to handle multiple assignments- Strong written (including email) and verbal (including phone) communication skills- Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.- May make recommendations for buy versus build decision.- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.- Prior finance experience related to technical delivery- Prior software assessment experience is a plus- Has 5+ years of relevant work experience
