Short Description: The Asset Management Team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a 12-to-18-month contract engagement.
Duration: 12–18 months
Location: Hybrid (3 days/week on-site Richmond, VA)
Interview Process: Both Web Cam and In-Person interviews required.
Requirements Management: Conduct stakeholder interviews/workshops; document clear, testable functional and non-functional requirements.
Technical Liaison: Translate complex technical concepts for business users and business objectives for development teams.
System Analysis: Analyze complex processes, identify root causes, and design solutions.
Documentation & Visualization: Utilize Visio for wireframes/diagrams and maintain Azure DevOps (TFS) backlogs (Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, and Test Plans).
Testing Support: Assist with system integration testing and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Change Management: Facilitate the rollout of new systems/processes and drive user adoption.
Experience: 5+ years of BA experience in IT software/application projects.
Agile Proficiency: Deep understanding of Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban.
Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of multi-tiered applications, SQL, APIs, and Data Flow Diagrams.
Communication: Exceptional oral/written communication skills; ability to negotiate priorities and handle stakeholder pushback diplomatically.
Agile Analysis: Strong command of Scrum concepts and methodologies.
Backlog Management: Organizing and maintaining sprint and product backlogs.
Requirement Translation: Translating product strategy into technical requirements and user stories.
QA/Testing: Developing Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Cases.
Process Modeling: Ability to analyze and document business/system processes (Swim Lanes/Flow Charts).
Preference: Prior State-level IT experience is highly desired.
