Business Analyst – SQL & Government Agency Experience

Location: Albany, New York (NY)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong SQL expertise and extensive experience supporting large-scale government agency projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in requirements gathering, business process analysis, data analysis, stakeholder management, and technical documentation for complex enterprise systems.

Required Qualifications

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • 84+ months of experience leading teams of technical systems analysts on complex projects.
  • Extensive experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and system requirements.
  • Experience planning and facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirements sessions.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and recommend technical solutions.
  • Experience resolving stakeholder concerns related to design specifications and system functionality.

Documentation & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • 84+ months of experience creating and managing:
    • Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
    • Software Requirement Specifications (SRS)
    • Business Rules Documentation
    • Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM)
    • Workflow Diagrams
    • Functional and Technical Requirements
  • Experience collaborating with:
    • Development Teams
    • Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
    • Project Managers
    • Executive Stakeholders

SQL & Data Analysis

  • 60+ months of experience writing complex SQL queries.
