This role blends the structured coordination and reporting discipline of a Project Analyst with the stakeholder-facing analytical work of a Business Analyst, acting as a go-to resource who can move fluidly between tracking execution activities, gathering and documenting requirements, supporting the production of internal and external communication materials, and engaging directly with client stakeholders. The Business Analyst works closely with a team of strategists, service and human-centered designers, and solution architects to ensure requirements are captured accurately, project activities remain on schedule and well-documented, and communication materials clearly convey progress, decisions, and value to all audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and document functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, process flows, and requirements documentation for design, technical, and analytics teams.
  • Support process modeling, workflow analysis, and gap assessments to identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and supporting documentation repositories for audit readiness.

Project Management & Tracking

  • Maintain tracking tools for action items, milestones, deliverables, and task status to give the client teams real-time visibility into product development and project execution.
  • Support scheduling and coordination of meetings (working sessions, design reviews, stakeholder check-ins), including agendas, attendee lists, and logistics.
  • Draft formal meeting minutes capturing discussions, decisions, and action items, and track items through closure.
  • Support development of status updates by compiling progress, schedule inputs, and other relevant activity across multiple workstreams.
  • Support intake, triage, and prioritization activities that feed backlog grooming and roadmap planning.
  • Contribute to governance activities such as risk registers, decision logs, and compliance/documentation checklists.

Documentation & Communication Materials

  • Prepare process documentation, impact assessments, briefing materials, and business cases product and process adoption and utilization efforts.
  • Develop light communication materials, training aids, and job aids to support onboarding, launch readiness, and user adoption.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and status updates for client stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Client & Customer-Facing Engagement

  • Serve as a professional point of contact for stakeholder communications related to project status, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication between client stakeholders, design and technical teams, and support personnel, ensuring information flows clearly in all directions.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination, document results, and help track issue resolution.
  • Support change management and user adoption efforts tied to new systems, tools, or workflows.

About Company

ECS was founded in 2001 by experienced IT professionals with a commitment to quality processes, people and performance. Led by our Chairman, Roy Kapani, and an experienced executive leadership team, ECS provides our customers with solutions and services that support their critical needs and further mission objectives. This commitment has paved the way for expansive growth, year over year.

ECS gained market share in 2011 in the Department of Defense and Federal spaces through both organic and acquisition growth. In May, ECS completed its first strategic acquisition with the purchase of OAK Management, Inc., a leading provider of marine environmental services, ship systems engineering, maritime consulting and platform acquisition management. The OAK acquisition kicked off ECS’ intention to add tactical acquisitions as a part of its long term strategy to supplement and expand upon organic growth and to build enterprise value. ECS closed out 2011 with the acquisition of Paradigm Technologies, Inc. The Paradigm transaction added approximately 200 employees to ECS’ existing 900+ employees. Paradigm also added new Defense clients for ECS, including the Missile Defense Agency, the Navy’s Program Executive Officer for Integrated Warfare Systems, the United States Marine Corps, and the U.S. Marshals Service.

In 2012, ECS completed the acquisition of iLuMinA Solutions, Inc. iLuMinA brings large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation and infrastructure design and development to ECS’ expanding capabilities.

ECS will continue to invest in corporate infrastructure and quality processes as we grow and enhance our ability to offer professional excellence to both our customers and our employees.
