Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Business Analyst (Wealth Management) for their Weehawken, NJ/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior business stakeholders (VP/SVP/C-suite level) to elicit, define, and prioritize business requirements across Wealth Management platforms and processes
  • Translate complex business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and process flows
  • Drive end-to-end project outcomes — from discovery and requirements gathering through UAT and go-live — often with minimal oversight
  • Act as the primary liaison between business, technology, and operations teams to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, and timelines
  • Analyze current-state workflows and recommend future-state improvements across advisory, brokerage, and/or mutual fund servicing operations
  • Support product/platform initiatives related to account opening, portfolio management, trading, custody, reporting, and client servicing within Wealth Management
  • Lead workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and stakeholder reviews; manage conflicting priorities across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Prepare and present business cases, gap analyses, and impact assessments to senior leadership
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and issues proactively, and drive resolution through to closure
  • Contribute to process reengineering and operational efficiency initiatives within Wealth Management operations

Requirements:
  • 15+ years of overall Business Analysis experience, with a significant portion in Wealth Management
  • Strong working knowledge of wealth management products and processes (advisory/brokerage accounts, portfolio management, trading, custody, client onboarding)
  • Proven ability to work as a self-starter — comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous problems and driving them to resolution without heavy direction
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with and influencing senior business stakeholders to drive project decisions and outcomes
  • Strong facilitation skills — able to run requirement sessions, workshops, and executive presentations confidently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle (requirements, design review, testing support, implementation, post-go-live support)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with Mutual Funds — fund servicing, NAV processing, transfer agency, or fund accounting workflows
  • Familiarity with industry platforms used in wealth/asset management (e.g., portfolio management systems, custodial platforms, or fund administration tools)
  • Prior experience in consulting, managing services, or client-facing delivery environment
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery models in addition to traditional Waterfall
  • Target 15+ years senior Business Analysts with deep Wealth Management experience covering advisory, brokerage, portfolio management, trading, custody, and client onboarding. Prefer candidates from UBS, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, BNY, or Broadridge with strong executive stakeholder management.
  • Avoid profiles lacking Wealth Management domain expertise or client-facing BA leadership.
  • 12+ years of Business Analysis experience
  • Extensive experience delivering enterprise Wealth Management initiatives
  • Strong client-facing consulting or managed services background
