Overview
The IT Business Analyst will work closely with the IT PMO Manager, business stakeholders, and technology teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements. This is a great opportunity for an early-career Business Analyst with a strong foundation in requirements gathering, process documentation, and stakeholder communication who is looking to continue developing their skills in a professional services environment.
Gather, document, and analyze business and functional requirements.
Translate business needs into clear user stories, requirements documents, and process documentation.
Meet with stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges, and desired outcomes.
Assist in identifying opportunities to improve and streamline business processes.
Create process flows, diagrams, and other documentation to support project requirements.
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
Support project scoping by documenting objectives, requirements, dependencies, and success criteria.
Assist with wireframes and mockups to help visualize proposed solutions.
Create and execute test plans, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Document testing results and communicate issues to appropriate project team members.
Support users and stakeholders during the implementation of new systems, features, and processes.
Participate in cross-functional project meetings and provide project updates as needed.
Assist with project documentation, timelines, and tracking deliverables.
Maintain organized and accurate project and requirements documentation.
Develop a working knowledge of the firm's business systems and how they support different teams.
Stay current on technology and process improvements that can help modernize and automate business operations.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
1–2 years of solid Business Analyst experience, preferably supporting IT or technology-related projects.
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Experience creating user stories, process flows, requirements documentation, and test cases.
Exposure to UAT and functional testing.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with Microsoft Visio or other process-mapping tools.
Basic understanding of databases, system integrations, and application workflows.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
Experience in a professional services or client-service environment is a plus, but not required.
