TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time, remote Business Analyst to support our team based in White Marsh, Maryland.
Summary:
The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements for products and project enhancements before they are developed. They deliver those business requirements to the Development team and will collaborate and complete Functional technical specifications, to ensure that the functional specifications match the business requirements. With direction from the product and/or program manager, the BA will track these changes through the complete SDLC process through successful release. This will include RTM management and tracking, as well as coordination of testing events and customer-facing demonstrations.
Salary Range: $75 - 85k, based upon qualifications and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education: Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred. Certification and PMI- Business Analysis a plus.
Knowledge: Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Job Complexity: Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
Supervision: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Preferably in software development for back-office systems within the transportation industry.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
