Join the New Jersey AI Hub to help build a sustainable, membership-based revenue model for our growing innovation ecosystem. This internship blends business operations with data analysis. You will support the design and rollout plan for our new membership program – a key initiative to drive partnership engagement and revenue – while providing analytical insight to improve member acquisition, retention, and overall program success.

This is a paid summer internship for apporcimately 10-12 weeks, located in Princeton, NJ.  Hybrid work schedule is possible.

Why this internship? Gain hands-on experience shaping a real innovation hub’s business model, work at the intersection of community building and data-driven strategy, and contribute to New Jersey’s AI/tech ecosystem in a meaningful way

Responsibilities

  • Membership Program Development: Assist in structuring membership tiers and benefits, conducting market research on comparable tech/innovation hub membership models, and helping craft proposals/presentations for potential members.
  • Member Operations & Support: Coordinate membership enrollment and engagement activities (onboarding, communications), maintain member databases (CRM) and ensure data accuracy/integrity for membership records.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather and analyze membership and program data to identify trends in member conversion and retention; create weekly reports and dashboards tracking key metrics (e.g., membership pipeline, event participation, revenue projections).
  • Cross-functional Projects: Support other strategic initiatives as needed – e.g., small-scale market or financial analyses for ongoing Hub projects (such as evaluating AI literacy workshop outcomes or SMB engagement data) to inform decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel (analysis, charts) and data management. Familiarity with CRM software and basic analytics tools (e.g., SQL or Python) is a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with an interest in revenue models, membership-based programs, and startup/innovation ecosystems. A collaborative team player able to work independently when needed.
