Staff Accountant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Location: South Bend, IN | 100% Onsite
Compensation: $76,960 - $83,200

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to provide immediate support during a department transition. This position will work closely with leadership and play a key role in maintaining day-to-day accounting operations while the organization completes a permanent search.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Perform month-end close activities
• 
  
• Prepare and post journal entries
• 
  
• Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations
• 
  
• Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting
• 
  
• Review and reconcile approximately 40–50 general ledger expense accounts
• 
  
• Generate accounting reports and research variances
• 
  
• Support ongoing accounting projects and daily accounting operations
• 
  
• Work independently while collaborating with the accounting team
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is required.
• 
  
• 3+ years of general accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong understanding of month-end close processes
• 
  
• Experience with journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
• 
  
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• 
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• 
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• 
  
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
