Hours: 9 am to 6 pm Pacific
Pay Range: $(170 - 180) on an hourly basis
Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Business Affairs Attorney to support the negotiation and management of legal agreements for original television content.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the entertainment industry, working with a streaming platform, television network, studio, production company, or entertainment law firm.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 8+ years of experience in entertainment law or business affairs.
- Proven experience negotiating content and talent agreements for television, film, or streaming platforms.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, draft, and manage development, production, licensing, and talent agreements for original content.
- Partner with Creative, Production, Finance, Marketing, and Legal teams throughout the content lifecycle.
- Oversee above-the-line agreements, underlying rights, and production documentation.
- Advise internal stakeholders on deal terms, production issues, and contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and evolving entertainment industry standards.
