Position Overview
The Business Coordinator plays a pivotal role in keeping our franchise operations running smoothly behind the scenes. This entry-level position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented individual with a foundational background in administration or basic finance. Will serve as the connective tissue between our restaurant locations, the corporate operations team, and our accounting department. An accounting degree is not required; we value organizational skills, reliability, and a proactive mindset above all.
Key Responsibilities
• Licensing & Compliance Management:
o Track, renew, and maintain all state, local, and food service business licenses for all franchise locations.
o Ensure timely filing to avoid penalties and keep restaurants in compliance with local regulations.
• Order Coordination & Follow-Up:
o Process and monitor corporate, equipment, and supply orders for individual restaurant locations.
o Follow up with vendors regarding delivery timelines, shipping discrepancies, or back-ordered items.
• Interdepartmental Support:
o Accounting Support: Assist the finance team by gathering invoices, matching purchase orders, resolving vendor billing discrepancies, and organizing expense reports.
o Operations Support: Help field leaders and store managers with administrative requests, document distribution, and maintenance tracking.
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an office administrative role, bookkeeping assistance, or a fast-paced retail/hospitality management environment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field is a plus (but not required).
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for tracking logs) or Google Workspace.
o Comfortable learning new proprietary restaurant management or invoicing software.
• Soft Skills:
o High Attention to Detail: Essential for managing strict government licensing deadlines and matching financial numbers.
o Strong Communication: Ability to professionally follow up with vendors, store managers, and executive leadership.
o Prioritization: Ability to handle multiple administrative requests simultaneously without letting tasks slip through the cracks.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) will be a plus.
