Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical discipline, ability to quickly develop an understanding of new information, processes, and technologies
- Two years of cloud data engineering, IT systems development, IT systems analysis, BI development, or data governance
- technical knowledge of how to work with structured data (tables, views, queries, DDL vs DML) as well as semi-structured data (csv, json, etc. in blob storage)
- knowledge of business analysis (term definition, processes modeling, documenting controls, etc.) and translating analysis into system or process requirements
- knowledge of on-premise and cloud computing resources and practices (security, networking, clusters, notebooks, key vaults)
- ability to prepare and summarize fact-based information to share with various levels of the organization
- demonstrated use of good analytical skills (including math and statistics), and problem-solving skills
- proven strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects, including organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines while ensuring accuracy
- knowledge of SQL (Spark SQL, T eradata, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Access)
- advanced data handling of structured and semi-structured data
- BI Tools (Power BI preferred)
- knowledge of Python (Pyspark preferred)
- knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Erwin, or similar
- knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in a technical discipline
- Five 5 years of cloud data engineering, IT systems development, IT systems analysis, BI development, or data governance
- Data Engineering certification
- Azure Databricks (workbooks, jobs, cluster management, ADLS integration, Delta tables, SQL Warehouses, Unity Catalog, CLI, etc
- Snowflake
- Microsoft Purview
- DevOps repos and pipelines
- intermediate knowledge of SQL (e.g., Teradata, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Access, Informix)
- intermediate knowledge of Azure
