Position Overview: The Business Developer is a dynamic and motivated professional responsible for driving new business growth while managing and nurturing existing key accounts. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role combines a go-getter mentality with strong relationship-building skills to close business opportunities and ensure exceptional client satisfaction. The Business Developer will play a pivotal role in championing LEUCO's vision, goals, and culture across a designated market and territory.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using existing account lists, online tools, and personal networking.
  • Proactively prospect potential clients through cold outreach, social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn), web research, and referrals.
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned with company goals to achieve or exceed annual sales targets.
  • Clearly communicate LEUCO's value proposition to prospective clients and provide tailored solutions.

Account Management

  • Manage assigned key accounts, building strong, long-lasting relationships to support client needs and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with clients to evaluate satisfaction and explore new possibilities.
  • Upsell and cross-sell LEUCO products and services within existing accounts, ensuring continued growth.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve issues related to delivery, pricing, or product performance promptly.

Sales Process & Performance

  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to closing and ongoing account management.
  • Track and analyze account data using SAP or internal systems to identify trends and measure progress against targets.
  • Monitor sales performance against budgeted goals, reporting variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales forecasts and updates to management.

Industry-Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of LEUCO's products, services, and the competitive landscape, positioning the company as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Identify and analyze market trends, providing actionable insights to enhance LEUCO's market share.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to provide customized solutions for clients.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support pipeline health and tracking.
  • Develop and execute strategies for the top 10 key accounts, ensuring long-term success and alignment with client goals.
  • Work closely with internal teams to monitor account health and ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Coordinate technical support or product management assistance as needed to address complex client inquiries.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in targeted sales campaigns and trade shows to drive new business and promote LEUCO's offerings.
  • Travel to client sites for meetings, service delivery, and industry events, as required.
  • Provide market feedback to leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
