A leading middle-market investment bank may seek a Business Development Analyst to support relationship-building, deal sourcing, and growth initiatives. These roles are well-suited for candidates who enjoy combining analytical rigor with client-facing responsibilities and strategic market research.
Support the identification and targeting of potential clients and transaction opportunities
Conduct industry and market research to uncover trends, growth sectors, and strategic opportunities
Prepare pitch books, teasers, and investment memoranda for prospective clients
Assist in outreach campaigns, client meetings, and presentations to drive business development
Build and maintain financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution) to support client discussions
Track and maintain a pipeline of prospective deals and business opportunities
Collaborate with senior bankers to develop growth strategies and enhance client relationships
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or private equity is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and common financial research tools
