POSITION TITLE: Business Development Analyst

DEPARTMENT: Proposal Services, Business Development

  • POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, Communications, Marketing, English or other related degree required. FINRA SIE preferred
  • 2+ years of RFP/DDQ experience or relevant investment management experience required
  • Demonstrates an interest of the application of technology in business processes, including AI and other software to enhance workflow
  • Fundamental understanding of the investment management and working knowledge of the firm's core products and investment strategies required
  • Experience drafting or reviewing proposal content, client facing materials, or technical questionnaires preferred
  • Project management experience required
  • Experience with Responsive (the team's content database), Power BI, and advanced Excel techniques preferred

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Lead and coordinate the completion of new business proposals, including developing project plans and timelines suited to the task
  • Fully understand the request from the client, its purpose and reasoning for product placement
  • Utilize relationships with key stakeholders in product, investment management, marketing, sales and other key business units to create compelling, product specific and industry-related content to be delivered in proposals for new business
  • In conjunction with managers, organize and run launch meetings for all stakeholders to determine key roles and timelines for SMEs. Establish any client-specific positioning, themes and strategies
  • Partner with subject¿matter experts to address client questions, develop tailored content, and ensure responses reflect current product, operational, and investment capabilities
  • Prioritize responsibilities to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, groups and activities within client-directed deadlines
  • Make effective use of core content from Responsive, including AI tools to refine answers, applying sound judgment to enhance clarity and precision.
  • Source and effectively apply additional content from agreed resources, including the accurate sourcing of core quantitative data from centralized locations
  • Work with dedicated resources within the team to ensure executive, legal, compliance and financial approval for institutional mandates as necessary
  • Navigate and use various client portals, databases and platforms for sourcing of opportunity information and submission of proposals
  • Adhere to established Compliance protocol and regulatory guidelines that affect proposal preparation and submission, as well as following all documented team procedures as necessary for audit and compliance purposes
  • Complete other ad-hoc projects and duties as determined by management

HOURS/LOCATION:

  • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)

  • Hybrid (office/remote)
