Salary Range: $43,000-$45,000/year, commensurate with experience.

Format & Schedule: Hybrid - Primarily remote work, with travel to our corporate headquarters in Harrison, NY as needed. Please note that relocation support is not available. Strong preference will be given to employees already in commuting distance.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

CURA Staffing is seeking a motivated and relationship-focused professional to join our team as a Business Development & Clinical Recruiting Associate. The Associate will support efforts to identify new business opportunities with hospitals, health systems, anesthesia groups, and ambulatory surgery centers while also helping recruit anesthesiologists and CRNAs for locum tenens and contract assignments.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, confident communicating by phone and email, organized with follow-up, and motivated by measurable results. Healthcare staffing experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong communication skills, initiative, professionalism, and a desire to grow. As the Associate develops industry knowledge, recruiting expertise, business-development skills, and a track record of success, there may be opportunities to advance into roles with greater responsibility in clinical recruiting, business development, account management, or team leadership.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development Support

• Assist with identifying and researching potential staffing opportunities with hospitals, health systems, anesthesia practices, and ambulatory surgery centers.
• Conduct outbound calls, emails, and other outreach to healthcare executives, administrators, anesthesia leaders, and staffing decision-makers.
• Help build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.
• Research target facilities, markets, and potential staffing needs.
• Introduce CURA’s anesthesia staffing capabilities using established messaging and resources.
• Gather information about coverage needs, schedules, start dates, credentialing requirements, and decision-making processes.
• Assist with scheduling discovery calls and client meetings.
• Support the preparation of proposals and other client materials.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective and existing clients.
• Accurately document outreach, opportunities, and next steps in the company’s CRM or tracking system.
• Collaborate with leadership and team members on targeted outreach campaigns and business-development initiatives.

Clinical Recruiting Support

• Source and develop relationships with anesthesiologists and CRNAs nationwide.
• Conduct outbound recruiting through phone calls, text messages, email, job boards, social media, referrals, and database outreach.
• Screen clinicians to understand their experience, availability, licensing, compensation expectations, and assignment preferences.
• Present qualified clinicians with appropriate locum tenens and contract opportunities.
• Communicate assignment details, including schedule, location, clinical expectations, compensation, travel, malpractice coverage, and credentialing requirements.
• Coordinate interviews and facilitate communication between clinicians, clients, recruiters, credentialing staff, and company leadership.
• Maintain consistent contact with candidates throughout the recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, and assignment processes.
• Develop long-term relationships with clinicians to support repeat placements and referrals.
• Maintain accurate and timely candidate records, notes, status updates, and follow-up activities.
• Work toward established recruiting activity, submission, placement, and retention goals.

Qualifications

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and communicating with new contacts.
• Excellent organization, time-management, and follow-up abilities.
• Eagerness to learn new systems, processes, and industry terminology.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Comfortable working toward defined activity, revenue, and placement goals.
• Self-motivated, persistent, resourceful, and accountable.
• Able to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, applicant-tracking systems, job boards, or social media recruiting tools is helpful but not required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• Previous experience in recruiting, sales, customer service, healthcare, business development, or a related field is helpful but not required.
• Interest in healthcare staffing, recruiting, sales, and relationship development.
