We are seeking a driven, experienced Business Development Consultant to join our growing sales team. This role is ideal for a seasoned logistics sales professional with proven 3PL experience who excels at building relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored fulfillment solutions.

In this role, you will work directly with prospects and existing customers to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and guide accounts through the full sales cycle—from initial contact through long-term growth. You will actively monitor industry trends, leverage FSI’s existing book of business, and identify early indicators of both risk and opportunity.

This position will actively work within the sales cycle, monitor trends within the industry, and utilize the existing book of business to identify early indicators of risk and opportunity. Travel is required for this position. The Business Development Consultant is responsible for day-to-day operational priorities related to the sales or implementation processes of FSI accounts.

  • Proven success selling third-party logistics (3PL) services
  • Leverage existing Relationships with businesses that ship on a regular basis
  • Meeting clients in person and understanding their shipping needs
  • Presenting logistics solutions and closing new accounts
  • Managing relationships from first contact through ongoing account growth
  • Working closely with internal operations and leadership teams
  • Tracking activity and pipeline through a CRM system
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Conducts field visits
  • Liaison with operations for sales
  • Assist with marketing efforts (i.e. social media and blog posts)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Will report directly to the Business Development Manager
  • This position requires on-site presence. Please note that tele-commuting generally will not be possible, and this is a full-time position.

Travel

Local travel is expected regularly for this position. Out-of-town travel is periodically expected for this position.
