Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Draft and assist in developing marketing materials, pitches, and RFP responses for current and prospective clients
  • Prepare content for third-party ranking and directory submissions including Chambers, Law360, Legal 500, IAM Patent, IP Stars, and others
  • Maintain and update attorney profiles, practice group pages, accolades sections, and related marketing content
  • Conduct market research and build background reports to support attorney meetings with clients and prospects
  • Track pitch and proposal outcomes and maintain matter records in Foundation (the firm's BD platform)
  • Support the creation and distribution of client alerts and newsletters
  • Utilize the CRM to manage client profiles, marketing lists, and reporting
  • Attend business development planning meetings with attorneys and help evaluate and execute on new opportunities
  • Support the development of client trainings and CLE programs, including formatting materials and managing logistics
  • Coordinate onsite and offsite events, webinars, seminars, and conferences
  • Assist with budget tracking and management
  • Help onboard newly hired attorneys from a business development standpoint
  • Assist with additional BD projects as assigned and collaborate with the broader Marketing and Communications teams

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in a professional services environment, law firm experience strongly preferred
  • Strong background in business development support, including pitch writing, RFP responses, and client-facing marketing materials
  • Experience with CRM platforms and maintaining marketing databases
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver quality work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working directly with attorneys and staff at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel and work outside standard business hours when needed
