Salary: $130,000-$150,000/Annually

Role Description: The Business Development Engineer must have 10+ years of experience.

Basic Job Functions:

Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Function:

• Support Regional Commercial Managers and a network of sales representatives in developing and maintaining new business by serving as an in-person, customer-facing, technical resource
• Build and sustain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, demonstrating the highest level of professionalism as a sole representative of the company.
• Lead strategic engineering and business planning initiatives to drive business growth and enhance product knowledge.
• Mentor and guide less experienced team members.
• Travel frequently to customer office and trade shows to support business development efforts. Occasional travel will be required to customer field locations and facilities.
• Live within 50 miles of an International Airport in the following states: California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah (Nearby states will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis).
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within the company; therefore, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in the Electric Utility or Pole Manufacturing Sector

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in engineering or business
• Transmission and distribution systems industry experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license
• Customer facing experience
• Steel Product Knowledge

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
