Business Development Engineer role at Tri-State Drilling, LLCPosition SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Engineer to join our growing team in the construction industry. This role will be responsible for identifying and maintaining clients for growth opportunities, supporting client management and organizations, and managing client engagements. Working closely with each division leader, this individual will play a key role in driving sales, expanding market reach, and representing our brand across all business units. This position reports directly to the President (primary manager) and also has responsibilities to the Operational Vice Presidents (dotted line managers).Base Pay Range$60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yrDuties and ResponsibilitiesionIdentify and pursue new business opportunities.Conduct market research to analyze trends, competitor activities, and emerging market segments.Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and networking functions.Maintain an active pipeline of prospective clients and projecportSupport estimating, and project management teams to develop and submit competitive bids and technical proposals.Review technical specifications, and drawings to ensure alignment with project capabilities and business goals.Support bid/no-bid decisions through analysis of scope, profitability, resource availability, and risk factors.Assist in drafting technical presentations and client-specific value propositiementSupport Division leaders in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical clarifications to understand client requirements.Support Division leaders with client engagement activities, meetings and outings.Ensure smooth project transition from sales to operations.Monitor client opportunities, bids and status from origination through award. Track this process and work with estimators on client communications related to these opportunities.Contribute to long-term client relationship management by identifying opportunities for repeat business or referQualificationsequiredAssociate or bachelor's degree or multiple year experience in Engineering. Construction Management, Business, Marketing or related field preferred.Solid understanding of construction industry operations.Highly proactive in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving pipeline growth without waiting for direction.Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-buildingskills.Ability to travel as needed for events and client meWorking EnvironmentironmentFast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a strong focus on collaboration andresults.Confident in spending time communicating on the phone with prospective clients identifying opportunities and verifying status of those opportunities.Regular interaction with cross-functional teams including division leaders, project managers, and executives.
