As our next Business Development Executive, you''ll introduce those solutions to new customers, build lasting partnerships, and help drive the next phase of our growth across a variety of manufacturing industries.
This is a high-impact business development role for someone who enjoys being in the market, building connections, understanding customer challenges, and collaborating with technical experts to develop solutions that create real value.
What You''ll Do
Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities across manufacturing industries.
Build trusted relationships with prospective customers, including engineering teams, manufacturing leaders, and executive decision-makers.
Proactively identify new markets, customers, and opportunities where AutoMatrix solutions can provide value.
Engage with customers to understand manufacturing challenges, technical requirements, and business objectives while developing automation solutions that improve productivity, quality, safety, and operational performance.
Partner with Engineering, Estimating, Program Management, and Operations to develop customized solutions and proposals.
Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle-from initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and project award.
Represent AutoMatrix through customer visits, industry networking, and market development activities.

What You''ll Bring
Proven success in business development, technical sales, strategic account development, or a related customer-facing role.
Experience selling complex solutions within manufacturing, industrial technology, automation, engineering services, capital equipment, or similar technical industries.
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop relationships, and secure new business.
Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer goals and connect them with effective solutions.
A self-driven mindset with the initiative and creativity to pursue new opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with industrial automation, robotics, systems integration, manufacturing technology, or related solutions.
Experience supporting automotive or other advanced manufacturing organizations.
Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Established relationships within manufacturing markets, particularly in Southeast Michigan.
Location & Travel
This role is based in the Detroit metropolitan area and requires regular travel throughout Southeast Michigan to meet with customers and develop new business opportunities. Approximately 20% travel throughout North America is expected to support customer relationships and business growth.
