Business Development Intern
Position Summary
The Sales Intern will support the Sales team in driving customer engagement, lead generation, account management, and business development initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in sales operations, customer relationship management, market research, and sales strategy while developing strong professional communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
- Assist with prospecting and lead generation activities.
- Research potential customers and industries to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain and update customer information in the CRM system.
- Prepare sales reports, presentations, and customer-facing materials.
- Support the sales team with follow-up communications and appointment scheduling.
Market Research
- Conduct competitor and market analysis.
- Identify industry trends and customer needs.
- Assist in gathering and organizing customer feedback.
Customer Engagement
- Participate in customer meetings and sales calls when appropriate.
- Assist in developing proposals and sales presentations.
- Support customer relationship-building efforts.
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate sales records and documentation.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and account management activities.
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn about sales and business development.
