The CLTI Internship Program is a structured 12-week experience that combines real-world work with professional development. You will contribute directly to CLTI's growth while building transferable skills, a portfolio of real deliverables, and the career readiness to thrive in your next opportunity.Position SummaryWe are looking for a mission-driven, proactive Business Development Intern (Partnerships & Donors) to join our team. In this role, you will build and manage an active outreach pipeline to identify and connect with potential nonprofit partners and donor organizations that align with CLTI's mission. Your work will directly contribute to expanding CLTI's reach and impact across underserved communities.This is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in nonprofit business development, strategic outreach,and relationship management- in a real organization, with real results.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and identify potential partner organizations and donor organizations aligned with CLTI's missionExecute structured outreach campaigns to build and maintain an active pipelineTrack and document all outreach activity and pipeline progressCommunicate professionally with external stakeholders and manage follow‑up conversationsSupport meeting scheduling and participate progressively in partner and donor meetingsSubmit weekly progress updates and participate in team meetingsComplete a final capstone presentation summarizing results, learnings, and recommendationsLearning ObjectivesBy the end of the 12-week program, you will be able to:Execute a full business development outreach cycle independentlyApply effective cold outreach strategies to engage potential partners and donors at scaleCommunicate professionally with external stakeholders in written and verbal formatsAnalyze outreach data and present pipeline results to leadershipTranslate your internship experience into portfolio‑ready deliverables and resume bullet pointsThroughout the 12 weeks, you will produce:Documented outreach pipeline covering both partner and donor prospectingEnd‑of‑phase pipeline reports with results and key learningsFinal capstone presentationIdeal Candidate ProfilePassionate about CLTI's mission and committed to social impactStrong written communication skills- you can write clearly, professionally, and with personalityOrganized and detail‑oriented- you keep records accurate and up to date without being remindedSelf‑motivated and proactive- you take initiative and go beyond what is askedComfortable conducting research and sending cold outreach at volumeCommunicates openly- if something comes up, you say so instead of going silentPrior experience in sales, fundraising, business development, or nonprofit work is a plus but not requiredStudents, recent graduates, and early‑career professionals are encouraged to applyFormat: RemoteSchedule: Flexible, approximately 20 hours per weekDuration: 12 weeksMeeting commitment: Weekly team meeting + onboarding session (Week 1 only)Join UsAs a Business Development Intern at CLTI, your outreach will directly open doors that expand access to AI‑powered career tools for nonprofits and underserved communities across the country.
