We are currently seeking an experienced, self-starter, goal-oriented, successful sales professional to fill the role of Business Development Manager in our Cincinnati region. As a Business Development Manager, your goal is to express ideas in a way that will build rapport with our current and new customers. You will help build new customer relationships and assist in managing key customer partnerships for long-term business growth and success.

What You Will Do

  • Developing new business accounts to secure major construction contracts.
  • Strategically prospecting networks and researching future construction project opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively with the Business Development team to create and implement strategic plans to generate business opportunities which result in achieved revenue objectives for the Cincinnati region.
  • Participating in industry and community organizations.
  • Continuously growing and developing your skills to lead project teams in selling high-end conceptual services to executive-level managers and buyers of large corporations and agencies.
  • Influencing the performance of cross-functional teams.
  • Making decisions based on Messers long-term growth philosophy and core values.

What You Will Bring

  • 5 years of business development/sales experience.
  • Bachelors degree in business, construction, or a related field.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours.
  • Business and community relationships in the Louisville area.
  • Knowledge/experience in a construction-related industry.
  • Knowledge of Messer market segments is a plus.
  • Formal sales training experience and utilization of client relationship management (CRM) software preferred.
  • Proven track record developing business and long-term client relations.

Abilities

  • Possess all auditory, speaking, and communicating capabilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Seeing and reading.
