Job Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with franchisees and licensees while serving as a trusted business partner and resource. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, providing guidance on food sales strategies, implementing sales and operational initiatives, and identifying opportunities to increase profitability and customer success.

Job Description

• Drive franchisee and licensee profitability by increasing same-store food sales and identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
• Prospect and canvas for new customers to expand the assigned territory and customer base.
  
• Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with franchisees, licensees, and store personnel through ongoing support, consultation, and guidance.
  
• Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and business reviews to effectively communicate the value of food products, programs, and technology solutions.
  
• Analyze and leverage information generated through OLM Food Solutions technology platforms to identify opportunities, increase sales, and improve financial performance.
  
• Develop strategies to prevent account attrition and support the continued success of existing locations.
  
• Communicate, implement, and support OLM Food Solutions programs, initiatives, and new product introductions.
  
• Maintain a thorough understanding of franchise and license agreements and identify opportunities to support business growth while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  
• Train franchisees, licensees, and their employees on product knowledge, sales techniques, customer service, operating procedures, food safety, and OLM Food Solutions standards.
  
• Keep customers informed of new products, promotions, marketing campaigns, and other business initiatives.
  
• Analyze sales performance, customer data, and market trends to develop and implement sales strategies designed to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  
• Prepare and provide timely, accurate sales performance reports to the Director of Operations and other OLM Food Solutions leadership.
  
• Attend meetings and training sessions related to new products, procedures, programs, and organizational goals.
  
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
  
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills Required

• Three to five years of field-related operations experience, preferably within the food industry.
• Franchise operations experience is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate information contained in business documents, instructions, product labels, and related materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with databases, CRM systems, and other business technology platforms.
• Knowledge of web-based presentation tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts and perform basic mathematical functions.
• Ability to analyze sales and business information and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions, mathematical information, diagrams, and other complex or abstract information.
• Demonstrates dependability and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Pay Rate

• $80k - 100k per year (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
