Essential Functions:Identify and develop client relationships to generate new business opportunities in target marketsWork with the team to enrich current client relationships for repeat business opportunitiesEvaluate viability of project opportunitiesCollaborate with marketing to create, promote, and maintain presentation toolsPromote ACI in the local marketplace and create positive brand recognitionLead the estimate, presentation and proposal processFollow up with proposals for feedback and negotiation of pricing Communicate contract terms to ACI Management teamMeet or exceed annual contract award volume and margin targetsPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: Yes Minimum Experience and Qualifications:Required:Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Business, or related field with a minimum of three years professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial / commercial construction environmentProven ability to establish and grow successful relationships with key decision makers Knowledge of conceptual estimating of HVAC, Plumbing and Process PipingAbility to develop and maintain relationships with clientsAbility to work as part of a collaborative teamStrong written and verbal communication, decision making, and problem solving skillsOutstanding presentation and relationship building skillsMust possess excellent time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, to include MS Project, and AccessMust have satisfactory driving record and be able to pass a drug screen The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following: Work Environment:Works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment Position may require visits to construction site Physical Demands:This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines Travel:May require infrequent travel (typically not overnight) Preferred:Previous Business Development experience Knowledge of commercial and industrial sales processes Mechanical industry experiencePrior military experienceKnowledge of Commercial Construction Industry in the Roanoke Area Final compensation will be determined based on experience, education, licensure, skills, and other relevant factorsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
