Position Summary

MS Companies is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition, strategic account development, and expansion of existing business relationships. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing customer partnerships, and promoting the company's quality, workforce, and technology solutions. The Business Development Manager serves as a key representative of the organization, working closely with operational leadership to ensure customer expectations are met while supporting long-term business growth objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within targeted industries and geographic markets
  • Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, prospecting, industry events, and market research
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to understand business needs and identify growth opportunities
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, site visits, and solution reviews to promote company services
  • Develop and deliver proposals, pricing models, and service agreements aligned with customer requirements and company objectives
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through contract negotiation, closing, and implementation
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams to develop customized customer solutions
  • Support contract renewals, account expansion efforts, and customer retention initiatives
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and customer records within Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify strategic opportunities
  • Participate in trade shows, industry associations, customer events, and networking opportunities to enhance company visibility
  • Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance metrics for leadership review
  • Achieve or exceed established sales goals, revenue targets, and key performance indicators
  • Travel to customer locations and industry events as required to support business development objectives
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday for extended periods
  • Must be able to operate a computer and use standard office equipment for extended periods
  • Must be able to work in a standard office environment and occasionally visit operational or manufacturing locations as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3+ years of business development, outside sales, account management, or related experience
  • Experience within manufacturing, automotive, staffing, quality services, or industrial environments preferred
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business and achieving sales targets
  • Strong customer relationship management, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and business reporting tools
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
  • Ability and willingness to travel 3-5 days per week, as business needs require.
