Business Development Manager - Diverse Market

Position Summary

FCI Basics, an Amphenol business approaching $500 million in annual revenue, is seeking a driven, hunter-style Business Development Manager to develop new opportunities and grow strategic customer relationships across North America.

FCI Basics operates globally, with offices and operations across the United States, France, China, India, Mexico, Indonesia, Tunisia, and other international locations. Our solutions support high-growth markets including robotics, energy storage, automotive, IT and telecommunications, hyperscalers, AI and data centers, and other emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new sales leads, target accounts, applications, and market opportunities.
• Prospect actively and build a qualified pipeline of new business.
• Develop strong relationships with customers, Sales, FAE, Engineering, and Product Management.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, forecasts, and business plans.
• Coordinate internal teams throughout the sales process, from initial discovery through qualification and production.
• Support strategic customer opportunities across robotics, energy storage, automotive, AI/data centers, telecom, and other developing markets.
• Support Product Line Managers with product strategy, promotion, lifecycle planning, and new-product investments.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams across global locations and time zones.
• Travel frequently to customer sites, offices, and manufacturing locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in business development, technical sales, account management, product management, or product marketing.
• Experience in robotics, energy storage, automotive, IT/telecom, hyperscale computing, AI/data centers, or another emerging technology market.
• Demonstrated hunter mentality with success identifying and developing new opportunities.
• Highly responsive, proactive, coachable, and comfortable working with a sense of urgency.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership and get the job done.
• Ability to learn technical products and customer applications quickly.
• Excellent relationship-building, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently.

Direct connector or interconnect experience is helpful but not required.
