Job Summary The Business Development Manager, Higher Education is accountable for driving adoption of the Q‑SYS platform and ecosystem within the Higher Education vertical by performing as an individual contributor and championing the Q‑SYS solution set to key contacts within colleges and universities.Key Tasks & Responsibilities Developing and continuously improving the technical understanding of the Q‑SYS solution setCommunication Skills: articulate a strong value proposition, ask pertinent questions, and actively listenShare key information with internal Q‑SYS stakeholders (Consultant Liaisons, Channel Sales & Strategic Account Team)Maintain consistent sales activity levelsIdentify and pursue opportunities for account growth and net new businessDevelop a comprehensive understanding of how higher education AV‑IT teams run their departmentsLearn and employ company workflows and protocolsUnderstand common client use cases and applicationsWork well in all phases of the sales cycle (prospecting, client development, account management)Collaborate as a team player and share the company's organizational values and goalsCoachability and accountabilityAttend trade shows, interact with customers, and conduct post‑show follow‑upDrive attendance at technical training sessions and promote online learning for end customersAssist with occasional special projectsOrganize and conduct effective end‑customer meetingsMaintain data integrity with Salesforce CRMAttend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skillsFoster a positive and collaborative work environmentSkills and Minimum Experience High School diploma required; bachelor's degree preferredAt least 5years of relevant personal selling experience in the AV‑IT industryProven experience working with adjacent sales teams (consultant liaisons, strategic and channel)Ability to judge which prospects to pursue and allocate time effectivelyStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and sales‑management software (ERP/CRM)Consistent reporting and updates via CRM softwareAbility to travel at least 50%Compensation and Benefits The range for this position is $83,300.00 to $149,900.00, based on experience and geographic location.
