A well-established commercial facility services company is seeking a Sales & Business Development Manager to lead and grow its sales organization while actively driving new business development. This is a unique player-coach opportunity for a sales leader who enjoys both leading people and winning business. The role will oversee a small team of sales professionals while maintaining personal responsibility for business development, key client relationships, and revenue growth. The successful candidate will inherit existing customer relationships, help develop the sales team, and play a significant role in shaping the future direction of the company's sales organization. The ideal candidate will have experience selling facility maintenance, construction, building services, property services, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other commercial service solutions and possess a proven track record of both sales leadership and new business development.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales representatives
* Drive new business development through prospecting, networking, trade shows, and client meetings
* Maintain an active personal sales pipeline while overseeing team performance
* Build relationships with facility managers, property managers, business owners, and procurement teams
* Support proposal development, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations
* Review pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and team performance metrics
* Assist with strategic account growth and major sales opportunities
* Work closely with operations and leadership to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
* Help improve sales processes, reporting, and overall sales effectiveness
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of B2B sales experience, 2+ years of sales leadership experience
* Facility maintenance services or related industry sales experience
* Proven success developing new business and growing client relationships
* Experience managing a sales pipeline and forecasting revenue
* Strong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Experience coaching and developing sales professionals
* Experience using CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
* Strong networking and trade show experience
* Experience selling to facility and operations managers, commecial property managers, commercial property owners, procurement teams, and/or corporate clients
