Business Development Manager - Houston, TX
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Representative to support the growth and expansion of our presence within the personal injury legal market. This individual will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with personal injury law firms, generating new business opportunities, and expanding referral networks through proactive outreach and consultative relationship building. The ideal candidate is confident in networking, experienced in sales and business development, and comfortable engaging directly with attorneys, firm administrators, and key decision-makers within the legal industry.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify prospective personal injury law firms, referral sources, and growth opportunities.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and business development initiatives.

  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry outreach.

  • Build, maintain, and expand referral relationships within the personal injury legal community.

  • Identify and engage key decision-makers at law firms, including attorneys, partners, and firm leadership.

  • Schedule and conduct client meetings, presentations, and business development calls.

  • Present company services and value propositions to personal injury firms and legal professionals.

  • Develop strong relationships with both new and existing clients to support long-term partnerships.

  • Track sales activity, pipeline progress, lead generation efforts, and follow-up initiatives within CRM systems.

  • Attend networking events, conferences, and industry functions as needed.

  • Collaborate with internal leadership to support overall business growth objectives.

  • Consistently meet outreach, lead generation, and business development goals.

  • Conduct in-field relationship development and daily in-person visits.

  • Build long term relationships and hit referral volume targets.
Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, business development, account management, client relations, or legal marketing.

  • Prior experience within the legal industry strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with or calling on personal injury law firms strongly preferred.

  • Personal injury industry experience is a plus.

  • Prior experience in the medical industry preferred.

  • Proven ability to generate leads, develop business opportunities, and close deals.

  • Experience with negotiations and consultative sales.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility.

  • Comfortable with cold calling, networking, and proactive outreach efforts.

  • Experience developing referral partnerships and strategic business relationships.

  • Existing network within the personal injury legal community is a plus.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities simultaneously.

  • Professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Outgoing, personable, and confident communicating with attorneys, firm leadership, prospective clients, and referral partners.

  • Ability to meet activity goals and business development targets.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
